Due to a very successful start of the season we already lack space in our hatching container. Therefore, we already released the first 40.000 sterlets into our project areas on the National Park Donauauen, in the Wachau and in the March. To prevent the sterlets from being immediately trapped in the rip-rap and eaten by awaiting predators we used a boat for the release.
