First, on the occasion of the publication of the final report of the "Joint Danube Survey 4", Federal Minister Elisabeth Köstinger and State Secretary Dr. Magnus Brunner visited our rearing station and released juveniles into the Danube. The "Joint Danube Survey 4" represents the most comprehensive survey of a major river and is a cooperative effort by all 14 states in the basin organized by the Danube River Protection Commission every 6 years.

As part of a project visit to the LIFE + Wilderness Wetland Wachau project, National Council President Wolfgang Sobotka, State Councilor Stephan Pernkopf and State Secretary Magnus Brunner were allowed to release several hundred young fish, as well as marked animals from the 2018 yearclass in the Wachau.
