We started the sampling for broodstock, and out of 8 sterlets we could catch, only one was not a recapture. Checking overall numbers, in the last 3.5 years we caught and tagged 36 individuals and recaptured 9 of them twice and 6 more of them three times. Considering the conditions of the Danube, several hundred meters wide and a 100km long stretch, these are amazing results. Pictured is Nina, which we encountered 3 times now and is the smallest and only female yet to mature each year.
